hydrotherapy to a healthy body

Looking for better ways to relieve your muscle pains or just want to relax? Well, here’s one thing that you may want to try. Recently we went to Ace Water Spa to try their hydrotherapy massage. First let us define what hydrotherapy is? It is a branch of therapeutics that deals with the curative use of water.  Hydrotherapy massage on the other hand is a kind of therapeutic massage that utilizes “Ultrasonic Jet System” that massages specific areas of the body with its aquatic jets strategically located to relax and soothe tired and aching muscles. This treatment is best done in heated water.

Ace Water Spa features 25 therapeutic massage with nine heated pools and one cold pool. Their hot therapeutic pools were really a good way of targeting points the same way acupuncture does.

I really like their hot herbal pools.  Mint pool at 36ºC, Jasmine pool at 38ºC, where you’ll be invigorated while relaxing your muscles, and Lavender pool at 40ºC, that keeps the skin soft and smooth.  They are to be taken simultaneously from 36-40ºC, respectively. Cold bars are provided around the herbal pools to balance the temperature of your body. Resting your neck at the cold bar while dipped in the pool makes a very relaxing moment. But there is a time limit to use the herbal pool since our body cannot be heated for a long time.

My favorite is the lazy river, here I enjoyed floating around in the current that goes the entire pool. I’ve almost slept on the mattress. ^_^ My least favorites are Sauna & Steam,  I don’t recommend those, too hot!! I had a hard time breathing inside.

Since Ace use pressure in their massage, swim suit are required. Cottons are a no no, I’ll bet that even before you finish one massage your clothes are already stretched to its limit.

They provide lockers, slippers, shower cap, shampoo, liquid soap, and extra plastic for wet clothes. You have to bring your own towel and other necessary things that you need.  They also offer some for rent, P200 for swim suit, P150 for towel, and P100 for trunks.

Things to remember: No Food, drinks, camera etc. only towel is allowed around the pool. By the way, it’s best to eat first before indulging yourself into their massage pools because you’ll feel really hungry, and I’ll bet that you would want to eat again after.

Value for money? I definitely would say YES! You can have a relaxing 4 hours massage for only P550. But there’s more, you can visit Metro Deal and avail of their 37% discount, you’ll only pay P349.
